Mun Kyong-sok (Dragon Lee / Bruce Lei) 巨龍
Dragon Lee is a well-known Bruce Lee imitator. He was born on August 12, 1958, in North Korea. His real name is Mun Kyong Sok, but due to his physical build, he has also been called "Keo Ryong," which literally translates to "Giant Dragon."
Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to the former Soviet Union, where he was given the name Vyachaslev Yaksysnyi. His family remained there until Lee was a teenager, after which they moved to South Korea.
He trained in Taekwondo alongside his friend and fellow actor Kim Tai-chung (Tong Lung), and studied Hapkido under the supervision of Grandmaster Hwang In-shik. At one point, while working in the theater industry, he met someone who pointed out his striking resemblance to Bruce Lee. This individual helped him kickstart his cinematic career by introducing him to several film producers. As a result, he moved to Hong Kong and built a career during the 1970s and 1980s as a Bruce Lee impersonator under the stage name Dragon Lee, though he was also credited as Bruce Lei in some features—a marketing tactic matching those used for Bruce Li and Bruce Le.
Dragon Lee eventually returned to Seoul, where he now works as a television producer and actor. He also serves as the head of a South Korean actors' association.
