A second version of the movie was released in Hong Kong by Insantra Film, probably in 1981 or 1982, with different credits both in the movie's intro and on the movie posters. While in the Indonesian version the protagonist is credited as Steven Lee, in the Hong Kong version the same actor is credited as Bruce Lei. Steven Lee is an Indonesian actor who has starred in two Bruceploitation movies, "COBRA" (1977) and "STEEL FISTED DRAGON" (1982), he was named the Indonesian Bruce Lee, he is credited as Bruce Lei, and he should not be confused with the Korean-born protagonist Dragon Lee, who is also often referred to as Bruce Lei.

Also, in the Hong Kong version, the well-known Taiwanese director of Hong Kong Bruceploitation movies (most of which star Bruce Le), Joseph Velasco (Joseph Kong), is credited as the director, whereas in the original Indonesian version, the Indonesian Rempo Urip is credited as the director, who happens to be the real director. This is quite strange, but something common in movies of this genre.

On several VHS and DVD covers, mostly American ones, Bruce Le is incorrectly listed as the protagonist.

Movie Plot:

Indra trains in kung fu under the supervision of an elderly master and is in love with his teacher's daughter, Yanti. One night the master is murdered by someone named Cobra. While dying, the master expresses his wish to Indra and Yanti to get married and move far away. Indra and Yanti get married and move to Jakarta. In the meantime, they have a child and face financial problems. One day, while Indra is looking for a job, he saves someone from a gang of criminals (without knowing that he is the second-in-command of a gang called Cobra, which has disputes with the Scorpions), and this man sends him to his boss to give him a job at the port. At work, he meets and becomes friends with Dira. At some point, Indra unintentionally kills a businessman, realizes that something is wrong with his boss, and wants to leave, but the boss does not allow it and has Dira kidnapped. Meanwhile, Sugara, the Boss's right-hand man, orders the kidnapping of Indra's wife and daughter, and in the attempt to kidnap them, they kill them. Sugara blames the Scorpions, and Indra initially fights them, but along the way, he discovers the truth. He also discovers that his boss, Cobra, is the one who killed his master.

Quite a violent and blood-soaked martial arts movie from INDONESIA starring BRUCE LEI (This is not DRAGON LEE, whom we often encounter as BRUCE LEI, but STEVEN LEE).

The first KARATE movie I ever saw in 1983 or 1984 (I don't remember well) at an outdoor cinema in my neighborhood.
